LOCATION – Breath-taking Cedar Lakes Conference Center located just south of Ripley, WV.  (I-77 south, about 40 miles south of Parkersburg.  Get off at the Ripley exit, take a left into downtown, follow the signs).  Cedar Lakes is home to the gargantuan Mountain State Art and Craft Show each year in July.

DATES - Fri. Nov. 9 - Sat. Nov. 10. Registration starts at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, and the Retreat ends with lunch on Saturday. 

Speaker – Rev. Trevor Johnston, the Administrative Assistant and Multicultural Ministries director for the Central Ohio District.  (He was also one of Pastor Scott’s classmates at seminary, and a missionary to France.  Not at the same time!)

Who can come - All youth age 12-20, plus counselors who are at least 21 years of age or older.  The recommended youth/counselor ratio is 1:6 (roughly one counselor per 6 teens).

Cost - $35 per person (youth and counselors).  Please send in with registration.  Make checks payable to Scott Mapes.  Do one check per church, if possible.

Purpose of the Retreat:

§    To inform teens about what God and His people are doing in the world.

§    To challenge teens with God’s call and identify those with a specific call to mission.

§    To lead teens to salvation, sanctification, and commitment of the lives to Jesus.

§    To have a lot of fun while we are doing the first three things.

DEADLINE - Approximately Fri. November 2.  We will give you some leeway, but you need to at least call or email me by then.

We will try to get all playoff scores on Fri. night.

WHAT TO BRING -

* Clothes, personal hygiene stuff

* Sleeping bag or bedding (blankets and pillows are provided)

* Towel, washcloth, soap, and shampoo.
